The statue of St. Olaf by sculptor Ville Vallgren dates from 1912. St. Olaf has been described in his statue as a noble king on body armour, crown on his head. In reality Olof (995-1030) was a marauding viking and a king fighting for power. The statue is situated in the Central hall of Olavinlinna castle.
