Welcome to Putkisalo Manor’s sheep farm to celebrate the Saimaa Harvest Festival in stunning traditional landscapes!
Putkisalo Manor in Rantasalmi offers memorable experiences for the whole family in a historic setting – come and cuddle the adorable sheep, admire the horses, and watch an impressive sheep herding demonstration led by working dogs.
The manor’s farm shop features a variety of lamb products, hand-dyed wool yarns, beautiful sheepskins, and a selection of local delicacies. The old granary museum, full of fascinating stories, will also be open to visitors throughout the event.
On Saturday, a special treat awaits in the manor’s grand hall: D.O. Saimaa chef Ilkka Arvola will prepare a seated local food lunch served at 1 PM. The menu highlights ingredients from the farm and the best of the surrounding area’s harvest.
This lunch is a unique culinary journey into autumn – places are limited, so advance booking is recommended.
