At Putkisalo Sheep Farm, you can enjoy a one-of-a-kind atmosphere filled with sheep, horses, and breathtaking heritage landscapes. You’ll have the chance to pet the farm’s delightful sheep, admire the horses, and enjoy an impressive sheep herding demonstration by skilled working dogs all weekend.
The Putkisalo Shop offers delicious lamb products from the farm, beautiful sheepskins, hand-dyed wool yarns, and a rotating selection of local goods. Additionally, the museum storehouse, rich with colorful history, will be open during the Harvest Festival.
On Saturday, a locally sourced lunch will be served in Putkisalo Manor at 1 PM, prepared by D.O.Saimaa chef Ilkka Arvola. Reserve your spot in advance as seating is limited.
