This dish is inspired by opera composer Giuseppe Verdi, a passionate food lover who never travelled without his favorite Italian delicacies.

On his journeys, Verdi was known to carry with him generous amounts of Parma ham, salami, and Parmesan cheese. The Verdi plate at Hospitz brings this flavorful tradition to the heart of the opera city of Savonlinna.

The dish includes:
– Parma ham, bresaola, and salami
– Blue cheese from Kappeli, Manchego, and Parmesan
– Castelvetrano olives, Kantola’s tomato–basil crackers, and a rhubarb–blackcurrant–onion relish
