Exhibition Centre Kitee – Culture, History and Local Creativity in the Heart of the City
Located in the centre of Kitee, the Exhibition Centre Kitee invites visitors during the Saimaa Harvest Festival to explore a wide range of exhibitions and North Karelian creativity. Maintained by the City of Kitee, this 600 m² venue offers experiences and inspiration for all ages.
The centre features an Arabia tableware collection, a model railway, a Heritage Room focused on wartime history, a Mini Cinema, a space for rotating exhibitions, and a gallery and art loan service highlighting local professional artists. There’s also a gift shop, where visitors can find Kitee-themed products made by local creators.
During the Saimaa Harvest Festival, the centre showcases both permanent and temporary exhibitions – a rich presentation of local culture, history and craftsmanship. And of course, local flavours are also part of the experience!
