Maitolaituri is A Warm and Welcoming Meeting Place in Enonkoski
Maitolaituri – or “Maitsikka” as the locals call it – is an idyllic café, small boutique, and cozy community living room in the heart of Enonkoski. We serve traditional homemade lunches, freshly baked treats, and offer a rotating selection of local crafts and natural cosmetics.
During the Saimaa Harvest Festival, Maitsikka celebrates the season’s flavors in a relaxed village setting. Enjoy locally sourced food, baked goods, and craft beers from Karvilan Panimo.

On the Saimaa Harvest festival weekend, we are open on Friday and Saturday from 9 to 16. Our dish is a funnel chanterelle pie baked on a rye crust, served on a bed of greens with marinated red onion, cauliflower, and carrot chips. The dish is finished with toasted seeds and a drizzle of balsamic.
