The world’s very first Saimaa Harvest Festival delighted visitors in summer 2025 – and the celebration continues this year!

This atmospheric harvest weekend brought together guests from near and far, and the warm reception it received has secured its return next autumn. Once again, the Saimaa Harvest Festival will gather dozens of vibrant destinations – open farms, farm shops, live demonstrations, music, and the joy of doing things together.

The Saimaa Harvest Festival 2025 was launched as a pilot as part of the “Saimaa on a Plate” project. Today, the event continues to grow in the hands of local stakeholders. The development and coordination are led by the Voimaa Maasta association in close cooperation with local entrepreneurs. The aim is to establish the Saimaa Harvest Festival as an attractive and long-lasting annual autumn event.  The project was co-funded by the European Union.
