At the Savonlinna Opera Festival in the summer of 2024, a local savory snack is needed.
Here at Kakkukaaos, we developed a savory pie for this opera summer, inspired by the story of Olavinlinna Black Ram.
The pie is based on local Putkisalo Manor’s smoked lamb. To enhance its delicious flavor, we use our own marinated red onion, a mix of cheeses, herbs, and whipped cream. The pie is served slightly warmed with a side of green salad.
The pie is lactose-free and gluten-free. We use Virtasalmen Viljatuote’s pastry flour mix, making it suitable for those avoiding grains. The pie is also available for takeaway.
