The Monastic Community of Enonkoski is an ecumenical community based in the Lutheran confession. It exists so that people would have a place for peace and prayer in their lives.

The Monastic Community’s meeting place is a former school building in the village of Ihamaniemi, in Eastern Finland. The Monastic Community’s chapel, the Chapel of the Holy Trinity. During opening times, prayer takes place in the chapel at 8.30 a.m., noon, and 6 p.m.

Silence retreats, monastery weeks, different events, and a monthly mass kept by the local parish are organized at the Monastery.

The monastery is open for visitors in June-August 2020 with some exceptions. Visitors are welcome to the monastery to participate in prayer services and meals according to daily order and purchase souvenirs and handicrafts from the monastery shop. The monastery also offers inexpensive accommodation. If possible, it is recommended that you inquire about opening times by telephone or email prior to visit.
