Perlina di Castello

Perlina di Castello serves up Italian-style food made mainly from locally sourced Finnish ingredients. The interiors are a mix of modern comfiness and rustic elements. During the summer season, Perlina di Castello’s large front terrace is a great place for eating and socialising.

The heart of Perlina di Castello is the wood-fired pizza oven. It allows very high baking temperatures and gives the pizzas an extra crispy crust. Genuine Parma ham, roast veel and salami are cut directly onto plates on a slicing machine that’s the only one of its kind in Finland. Customers can also have Parma ham and other cold cuts to go. All wines and sparkling wines at Perlina di Castello are of Italian origin and cover a wide range of Italian varietals. Besides genuine Parma ham, the restaurant uses only a few other Italian produce (including pecorino cheese and olive oil), the rest of the main ingredients are Finnish produce that are sourced locally. The restaurant’s local suppliers are Erosen Kala and Marjamarkkinointi Kauko Pesonen. The essence of Perlina di Castello’s Italian style of cooking is simplicity and respect for the ingredients. The restaurant makes its own ravioli and house bread, Gnocco Fritto, among others.
