Kesälahti Local Heritage Museum | Smoke Cottage, Traditions & Huttujuhla Celebration | KesälahtiKesälahti-Seura ry

Step into the atmosphere of rural life and traditional harvest celebrations of days gone by.

In the grounds surrounding Finland’s largest traditional smoke cottage, you can shop for local products, meet local makers and discover traditional skills. The Riihilato barn hosts the Kuvien muisti photography exhibition, while a guide shares stories about life in the past and the photographs on display. There is also plenty to see and do for children. The museum café will be open.

On Saturday at 18:00, the traditional Huttujuhla celebration will be held in the smoke cottage – a local tradition dating back to 1960. Tickets to Huttujuhla are €10.
